Hardworking families across the Commonwealth follow commonsense principles when balancing their own checkbooks and living within their means. A government that does not do the same is not just irresponsible in the present, it jeopardizes the future for our children. We have been pragmatic and responsible during my time on council in Brentwood, investing $15 million into infrastructure without raising taxes. I will continue this fiscally responsible approach as a member of the State House.
I have always wanted to do what is right for my community first. I’ll be an independent leader for the 36th district, I’ll work with Republicans and Democrats to do what is best for our community. The Pennsylvania State House needs more members who will be independent leaders for the people in their districts. I intend to draw upon my background of public service to do exactly that in Harrisburg.
Safety is more than just a term, it is a promise. It is the tangible knowledge that children can walk to school without worrying their parents. It is an environment that encourages families to put down roots, start businesses and raise the next generation. I have demonstrated my commitment to law enforcement by adding more officers in Brentwood Borough and will draw upon my commitment to law enforcement and public safety in Harrisburg. I am proud to be endorsed by Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 91, my support for our Police and first responders is unwavering.
A proven leader, AJ has been a member of the Brentwood Borough Council for 5 years, where he currently serves as Vice President and the Chair of the Public Safety Committee. AJ has made the safety of Brentwood residents and the economic growth of the Borough and region his top priorities.
People want to know that their representatives are present. In Brentwood, I started “Coffee with a Councilman”, a program where residents could meet in an informal setting to talk about the issues most important to them and to also spotlight local businesses each month. I will be just as available as a member of the State House and seek greater transparency in Harrisburg. We deserve honesty from our public officials.
Strong families start with good paying jobs. That’s why I will always stand up for our unions in Harrisburg. Freedom to organize is a constitutional right and I will always stand up for people fighting for an opportunity to provide better life for their family.
